Dr Justin Hellman is superb and I highly recommend. Mine is a very complex case. 4 past retina detachments by other surgeons, resulting in lower lid retractions. Dr Hellman underestimated his percentage of success, probably to manage expectations, but he made my eyes look perfect again and I can’t recommend him highly enough. Plus, he has a music degree as well as MD, so his left and right brain talk to each other. He is not afraid to tackle high-risk cases, which I’ve found unusual after surveying around. See him. You won’t regret it.

Dr Hellman is a very good surgeon I am very happy with my results both upper and lower procedure. The staff are nice as well. Dr Hellman is reserved and did listen to my concerns even the “research available on “Dr Google” that sometimes clouds the issue with “the wrong details”. It is an electronic age that can make patients more difficult to deal with related to insufficient real life experience vs just looking it up on the internet. Good to be informed but trust is the final factor in choosing a good surgeon with real experience and credentials. Very well done Dr Hellman 🙂

I had eye lid surgery by Dr. Hellman and he was very thorough in the initial exam, patiently explained everything about the procedure and the expected recovery. I am very satisfied with the results and highly recommend him to anyone wanting eyelid surgery. Be sure to use ice for the first few days after the procedure to reduce swelling and bruising.
